3rd Annual Gerrin Hagen Memorial Hockey Day – April 5th, 2025

General Volunteer Info:

  • Volunteers should report for their shift at the appointed time that you signed up on Sign Up Genius. 

  • Volunteer Check-In/Break Area is on the 2nd floor in Athlete Protocol.  Please thank Harrison & Justin for their generous support and use of their space.

  • Only volunteers are permitted in the Volunteer Check-In/Break Area.

  • Volunteers will receive a ‘VOLUNTEER’ t-shirt and memorial bracelet.  Please wear it.

LB Arena Facilty Issues:

·         Please refer to Lizzy D’Anna, Rink Manager (bathrooms, clean-up, doors, access, etc.).

·         Spectators may be directed to additional restrooms through Arena exit doors at in the skate rental area.  Porta-Potties (Woman & Men) are available directly outside these doors. 

Sound/Music/Announcements:  Tim Delgrosso

·         Tim will have a list of announcements to be made throughout the day.  If there additional announcements that need to be made, please coordinate with Tim and Chris Hagen.

Door:  Lead: Mike Spatz

·         $10 per person suggested donation for adults only.  Students and children are free. 

·         Cash or Check (made out to G2H Foundation) will be accepted.  The Door will have a bank to accept cash and make change as necessary.

·         Guests without cash may be referred to the arena ATM or if they wish to pay, they may add the suggested door donation to their purchase of raffles, etc.  This is completely on the “honor system” and is up to individual guests.  They should be admitted.

·         There is a Bethpage Credit Union ATM in the Arena Lobby right inside the front doors.

·         The 4-side doors in the lobby will be used for volunteers, players/coaches, dignitaries & staff.  The general public will enter and exit the other 4 doors.

·         Only volunteers will be permitted up the Volunteer Check-in/Break area.  A member or 2 must be posted at the stairs just inside the volunteer entrance and not allow any of the general public upstairs.  The only exception is elderly and disable individuals who wish to watch the event.  They may be directed to the elevator just behind Shore Hockey Shop.

·         LBHS National Honor Society student volunteers will assist at the door distributing complimentary event commemorative cup, memorial bracelets, rally towels (children & teens) and G2H glo cubes (adult).

·         Money will be picked up from volunteers periodically by Brian Wheeler.

·         Please direct guests who wish to buy raffles or 50/50 chances to the raffle tables, etc. 

·         We don’t want to slow down the flow of people into the arena.
