3rd Annual Gerrin Hagen Memorial Hockey Day – April 5th, 2025

General Volunteer Info:

  • Volunteers should report for their shift at the appointed time that you signed up on Sign Up Genius. 

  • Volunteer Check-In/Break Area is on the 2nd floor in Athlete Protocol.  Please thank Harrison & Justin for their generous support and use of their space.

  • Only volunteers are permitted in the Volunteer Check-In/Break Area.

  • Volunteers will receive a ‘VOLUNTEER’ t-shirt and memorial bracelet.  Please wear it.

 LB Arena Facilty Issues:

·         Please refer to Lizzy D’Anna, Rink Manager (bathrooms, clean-up, doors, access, etc.).

·         Spectators may be directed to additional restrooms through Arena exit doors at in the skate rental area.  Porta-Potties (Woman & Men) are available directly outside these doors. 

Sound/Music/Announcements:  Tim Delgrosso

·         Tim will have a list of announcements to be made throughout the day.  If there additional announcements that need to be made, please coordinate with Tim and Chris Hagen.

 Chuck-A-Puck Contest:  Lead – Jeannette Zawitowsky

·         Chuck-A-Puck contest will occur after the 1st period of Game 2 (no ice cut).  The intermission will be to facilitate the contest.

·         Foam pucks will be sold:  1 for $5, 3 for $10.

·         This area will accept cash and cards.

·         Tim DelGrosso/Dan Fowler will announce and provide instructions for the contest to the spectators.

·         Contestants will only have 2 minutes from the end of the 1st period to assemble and ready themselves to chuck their puck. 

·         The scoreboard timer will be set to 2 minutes.  When time expires, the buzzer will sound.  All pucks thrown before the contest begins or after the buzzer will be disqualified. 

·         Contest controllers will measure the closest pucks to the center of the bullseye.  The 3 closest pucks will be awarded prizes (1st thru 5th place). 

·         Prizes may be claimed at the Chuck-A-Puck sales table.

·         Pucks will be cleaned off the ice by LBHS Varsity & LB Lightning players.
