3rd Annual Gerrin Hagen Memorial Hockey Day – April 5th, 2025

General Volunteer Info:

·         Volunteers should report for their shift at the appointed time that you signed up on Sign Up Genius. 

·         Volunteer Check-In/Break Area is on the 2nd floor in Athlete Protocol.  Please thank Harrison & Justin for their generous support and use of their space.

·         Only volunteers are permitted in the Volunteer Check-In/Break Area.

·         Volunteers will receive a ‘VOLUNTEER’ t-shirt and memorial bracelet.  Please wear it.

LB Arena Facilty Issues:

·         Please refer to Lizzy D’Anna, Rink Manager (bathrooms, clean-up, doors, access, etc.).

·         Spectators may be directed to additional restrooms through Arena exit doors at in the skate rental area.  Porta-Potties (Woman & Men) are available directly outside these doors. 

Sound/Music/Announcements:  Tim Delgrosso

·         Tim will have a list of announcements to be made throughout the day.  If there additional announcements that need to be made, please coordinate with Tim and Chris Hagen.

Bubble Ball Races:  Lead – Jeannette Zawitowsky (Raffle Table, Contest Volunteers)

                                 Lead – Justin Mastriano (On-Ice Activities)

·         Raffles to win the opportunity to race in G2H Bubble Ball with a bye to the Championship round.

·         Raffles will be sold:  1 for $10, 3 for $20

·         This area will accept cash and cards.

·         Must be 18 and over to enter the raffle

·         Waivers will be signed by all contestants.

·         All athletes must have proper footwear. No golf shoes, cleats, etc.  Sneakers recommended.

·         Ahtletes will don knee pads, helmet and bubble prior to the race beginning. 

·         Check-in at the Bubble Ball Raffle table in the arena lobby before or at the start of the 1st period of the first game (2:30 PM).

·         At the end of the 1st period, athletes in Heat 1, will walk onto the ice through the Zamboni doors.

·         Athletes will run around cones placed on the north blue line and then head to the finish line which is the south blue line.  First two athletes of Heat 1 to break the finish line tape will move on to Heat 3.

·         Heat 2 will then walk into the ice through the Zamboni doors and the race will be repeated.

·         First two athletes of Heat 2 to break the finish line tape will move on to Heat 3.

·         The 4 remaining athletes move on to Heat 3.  They will meet at the Bubble Ball Raffle table in the lobby immediately following the end of the 1st period of the second game (Approximately 5:30pm).  Please do not make us look for you.

·         During the 2nd period there will be a stoppage of play at about the 10-minute mark (“TV time out”).  The Heat 3 race will be run (same course) as earlier.

·         First two athletes of Heat 3 to break the finish line tape will advance on to Heat 4 (The Championship Race). 

·         First two finishers of Heat 3 and the raffle winner will meet at the Bubble Ball Raffle table immediately following the end of the second period of Game 2 (Approximately 6 PM).

·         During the 3rd period there will be a stoppage of play at about the 10-minute mark (“TV time out”).  The Heat 4 race will be run (same course) as earlier heats.

·         There will be 3 athletes in Heat 4:  the first 2 finishers of Heat 3 plus the winner of the G2H Bubble Ball raffle. 

·         The first place finisher of Heat 4 is the champion and will be presented with the Art Ross – Bubble Ball Trophy and prize.
